What they are saying about the Noggin Wash™

Lona Johnson, Retired, D.O.N, St. Mary's Woods - A Senior Community

Noggin Wash portable hair shampoo sink"As a Director of Nursing, I was most concerned about the safety issues with our patients and employees. I can see how this product would definitely prevent injuries from unnecessary transfers and lifting of our patients. They are able to stay seated in their wheelchairs and have their hair shampooed or remain in bed. I have seen the Noggin Wash™ in use, and I must say it is something that has been needed in the hair profession for some time."

Diane Albert, Director of Freedom Health, Goochland County, an Amedisys Company 2005

"Anything that can help us do a better job of caring for our patients is needed. Judy's Noggin Wash™ is a wonderful invention. It's going to help us take care of our patients' needs, one of which is washing their hair. Patients have a fear of falling in the bathroom or shower and sometimes prefer to be bathed in their bed or wheelchair. It also preserves their dignity as someone else bathes them."

Jean Hawk, Maidens, Virginia

"This is the real thing. I would recommend it for everyone, not only the elderly or people with health problems. It's very comfortable to wear while I'm getting my perm rinsed and during neutralizing. I didn't get soaked as usual with other hair stylists giving me a perm. I liked using it for the comfort."

Kaye Baughan, LPN

Kaye allowed us to use her as a model at a training class. She says, "It's neat as can be. It's comfortable, and I didn't feel drenched or that I was getting wet. It's a really good invention and certainly needed."

Debbie Wilds, Owner Shear Wildness

"I go occasionally to do a perm on one of my customers who is now homebound. I used the Noggin Wash for the first time in a home setting. It was so much easier on both of us. Before the Noggin Wash™ we had to put plastic bags and towels down on the floor. We would have a mess to clean up. With the Noggin Wash™ we used a bucket to catch the water as it drained out and my customer was not soaking wet. She bought one for her sister to help her to do her hair between visits.

At the shop I use it on customers getting perms and highlights because the rods and foils can be bundlesome in a shampoo sink. With the Noggin Wash™ the perm customer is processed and rinsed in a sitting position. Foiling is so much easier when it comes time to partially or fully rinse my customer.

The Noggin Wash™ is a great tool to use on my customers because of its comfort for them and it is great on my back as well because it allows me to stand in a more upright position while I am shampooing my customers. Anyone can use the Noggin Wash™ that needs an alternative to the standard method of shampooing hair."

Kathy Sizemore

Noggin Wash portable hair shampoo sink"I'm a hairstylist at Tresses Hair Salon in Chesterfield. The Noggin Wash™ Makes my job easier. It allows me to shampoo children's hair that would not fit in the shampoo bowl or clients that have neck problems and the shampoo bowl is uncomfortable to them.

I have used it for clients that were homebound for medical reasons and the Noggin Wash™ is portable and makes cutting and shampooing someone's hair at home much easier on them and myself. My father is in a wheelchair, and it has been a wonderful tool for me to use with him.

A co-worker of mine had a client with neck problems from an accident and she needed a perm. She was concerned how she was going to wash and rinse her customer's hair for the length of time it would take to get a perm. She used the Noggin Wash™ and it worked perfectly."

Judy Hall, The Noggin Wash™ Inventor

"Shampooing someone's hair in a sitting position is quite a challenge. Working as a hairstylist with several continuing care facilities. I knew first hand the challenge of shampooing a person's hair that was not able to be transferred or lie back in a shampoo chair. In a sitting position you can imagine where the water winds up, on the floor of course, and it is difficult to keep the patient dry even with the extra care to do so. It is impossible. I had to come up with something.

I tried the many shampoo aid sinks on the market and at their best their performance was poor. Having your hair shampooed and styled is a joyful and pleasant experience. I prayed and was inspired with the idea, thus the name of our company, A Dove Creation. I wanted something to bless others, something that would be of help to people.

I believe I was given the inspiration and knowledge to create this item to be a blessing to those who use it and to those who are involved in this business."
